Summer in Saint Louis is the perfect time to enjoy live music, soak up the vibrant local culture, and create unforgettable memories. Whether you’re a resident or just visiting, the city offers a fantastic lineup of music venues, festivals, and outdoor concerts that cater to all tastes. Here’s your guide to finding great music around Saint Louis this summer.

1. Route 66 Festival : Cars & Guitars 

The City of Kirkwood will host its Route 66 Cars and Guitars Festival on June 7, 2025 in downtown Kirkwood.  4-11pm 
The festival's theme of "Cars and Guitars" speaks to the rich transportation and music history of the region. Live music and vintage vehicles will anchor this outdoor event.

2. Glendale Summer Bash 

Join us on Friday, June 13th for Glendale’s newest concert event — Summer Bash! From 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Glendale City Hall campus, we’re turning up the volume with The John Hughes Experience, a high-energy tribute band that brings all your favorite '80s hits to life. This 21+ event is your chance to enjoy an evening of totally rad music, delicious food, and refreshing adult beverages — no kids, just good vibes!
*Note: This event is in addition to Jazzfest in the fall. It does not replace it.

3. Missouri Botanical Garden Whitaker Music Festival 

The open-air Whitaker Music Festival presents free Wednesday evening concerts under the stars every summer.
To date, more than one million people have participated in this cherished St. Louis summer tradition. 
Their concert series often includes classical, jazz, and contemporary performances, perfect for a relaxing evening surrounded by nature.

4. Frankie Martin's Garden, Cottleville

This beautiful neighborhood garden provides award-winning food trucks, 60+ carefully curated wines, a library of over 200 whiskeys, and showcases the best breweries in Missouri.   Frankie Martin's Garden is the place for and about community. With a warm, high end feel and focus on whiskey, Frankie Martin's Garden is an inviting spot located in the heart of Cottleville to socialize with friends, family, and neighbors.

5. Blues at the Arch Festival, Aug. 8-10

This summer, we’re celebrating a decade of blues at Gateway Arch National Park with four days of live music, local flavors, and nonstop fun. Produced in partnership with the National Blues Museum and the National Park Service, this free festival is the only one of its kind to take place on national park grounds.

New this year, Blues at the Arch Festival kicks off with a special 10th anniversary preview night at the National Blues Museum. Then, the party continues at the Arch grounds for an extended weekend of live music, jam packed with performances from local and national blues legends, a Kids Korner, delicious eats, fireworks, and more. Want to take your blues experience up a notch? Don’t miss exclusive artist meet-and-greets at the Premium Experience Tent on Saturday, August 9.

6. Grub and Groove, Francis Park, Aug. 16

Back for the 14th year!! Your favorite summer park party is taking place in Francis Park on Saturday August 16th. This year’s festival will feature another amazing lineup of local restaurants and a stage packed with exceptional local musicians.


7. Evolution Music Festival,  Forest Park,   Sept. 27-28

Another amazing line-up for this newer, but already beloved 2 day festival in the heart of Saint Louis, Forest Park.  

8. The Factory,  Chesterfield 

A fairly new music club built on a foundation of solid rock and roll.  Located in St. Louis’ upscale community of Chesterfield, The Factory is one of the anchors in the new entertainment complex – The District. The Factory is surrounded by restaurants, shops and entertainment options designed to appeal to everyone. 

9.  The City Winery, The Foundry 

Indulge your senses with: Intimate Shows. World-Class Wine. Great Food. Located at The Foundry!
